Pricing your horse
How to set a price, when to show the exact number vs a band.
Reinly lets you list with an exact price OR a price band ("Mid 5-figures") and a hidden exact price. Both have their place.
Show the exact price when…
- You're below market and want to surface in price-low-to-high sorts.
- Your horse is ready to sell and you want serious inquiries only.
Hide the exact price when…
- You want to talk to buyers before sharing the number.
- You're in a discipline where price reflects relationship, not specs (top-end show jumpers, breeding stock).
Price bands
Reinly auto-computes a band ("Low 5's", "Mid 5's", "High 5's", "Low 6's", etc.) from your hidden exact price. Buyers see the band; only you see the number.
Adjusting later
You can change the price any time without re-publishing. The change is live within seconds. There's no penalty for re-pricing.
What buyers see
If you allow the exact price: a clean dollar amount on the card and detail page. If you've hidden it: just the band, plus a small label noting the price is hidden until inquiry.
