The "Message seller" button on a listing opens a thread tied to that horse. Sellers see the listing context automatically.

Write a real message

Skip "Is this still available?" Sellers get dozens of those a week and many auto-archive them. A specific opening gets a response — try something like:

Hi! I'm interested in Riley. I'm an adult amateur jumping 1.0m, looking for my next horse to step up to 1.10m. Could you tell me about his rideability for less-than-pro riders?

What sellers see

Your name, photo, location, and a snippet of your buyer profile. The more complete your profile, the more readily they'll respond.
