Marking a horse as sold
How to record a sale and link the buyer to their stable.
When a sale closes — money paid, horse picked up — mark it on Reinly. It's a 30-second flow that wraps the listing and lets your buyer keep the record.
The flow
- From your dashboard, click the menu on the listing → Mark as sold.
- Search the buyer by name or email. The dropdown shows existing Reinly users only.
- (Optional) Enter the sale price. Stays private — only you and the buyer see it.
- (Optional) Tick "Add to buyer's stable" so the horse lands in their My Horses.
- Hit Confirm.
What changes
The listing flips to Sold, leaves public search, and shows a Sold banner if anyone visits the URL. The buyer gets a notification.
What's preserved
All your past messages, bookings, and the listing itself stay in your records. The audit log captures who marked it sold and when.
Reviewing your buyer
The Pending tab on /Reviews invites you to leave a quick review. Honest, brief reviews help future sellers vet the same buyer.
