Going live with a listing
The pre-publish checklist that gets you good inquiries.
Hitting Publish is the easy part. The work is in the 10 minutes before you click it.
The checklist
- At least 6 photos, good lighting, no clutter
- One under-saddle video, two minutes max
- Specific description (discipline, level, what makes the horse special)
- Honest disclosures — past injuries, quirks, anything a buyer would feel ambushed by later
- Clear price decision (exact or band)
- Your booking availability set
What to expect after publishing
Most listings see their first inquiry within 48 hours. Some take longer if your horse is in a niche discipline or unusually priced. Don't over-tweak in the first week.
Iteration
If after two weeks you have low-quality inquiries (or none), revisit photos first, then the description, then price. Buyers are picky; the listing has to do the selling.
