Payments Terms of Service

How paid Reinly plans are billed, and which payments Reinly does and doesn't handle.

Effective date: 20 October 2026

These Payments Terms of Service (the "Payments Terms") explain how payments work on Reinly. They form part of our Terms of Service (the "Terms"), and words defined in the Terms mean the same here. If these Payments Terms and the Terms disagree about a payment, these Payments Terms apply. By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to them.

1. What Reinly charges for

You can use Reinly on a free plan. You can also choose an optional paid plan (a subscription) from the Plans page in your billing settings. The charges for a paid plan you subscribe to are the only payments Reinly takes.

2. Payments Reinly does not handle

  • Horse sales. When you buy or sell a horse you found on Reinly, the price, any deposit and the payment are agreed and made directly between the buyer and the seller, outside Reinly. Reinly does not collect, hold or pass on that money, and does not provide escrow.
  • Bookings. Requesting and confirming a viewing, trial ride, video tour, vet check or other appointment on Reinly is free. Any fee for a service provided at an appointment is agreed and paid between you and the person who provides it.
  • Payouts. Reinly does not pay out money to sellers or service providers.

Reinly is not a party to these payments, so it can't refund, reverse or guarantee them. Reinly will never ask you to pay for a horse through Reinly, by gift card, or to an account that claims to be Reinly. Before you send or accept money, read our safe transaction tips.

3. Our payment processor

Plan payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure checkout and billing pages, not on Reinly. Reinly never sees or stores your full card number or security code. We keep only what Stripe shares with us so we can show your saved payment method: the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy also apply to how it processes your payment, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

4. Prices, currency and taxes

Each plan's price and billing period are shown on the Plans page and again at checkout before you pay. Plans are charged in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless checkout shows another currency. Listing prices that Reinly shows in another currency are approximate conversions for your information only; Reinly never charges them. Unless checkout shows otherwise, plan prices do not include taxes, and you are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

5. Subscribing and automatic renewal

When you subscribe, you authorise Reinly, through Stripe, to charge your payment method the plan price at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period. If you use a promotion code, its discount is shown at checkout and applies only on the terms shown with it.

6. Changing or cancelling your plan

You can change your plan, update your payment method or cancel at any time from your billing settings, which open Stripe's billing portal. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for and does not renew after that.

7. Refunds

Plan charges are not refundable, including for a partly used billing period, except where the law requires a refund or where we have charged you in error (see section 10).

8. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we show a payment notice in your billing settings, and Stripe may try the charge again. Please update your payment method. If an amount stays unpaid, we may limit or end your paid plan and move your account to the free plan.

9. Invoices

An invoice is issued for every plan charge. You can view and download your invoices from the Invoices page in your billing settings.

10. Billing errors and disputes

If you think you have been charged in error, contact us before you dispute the charge with your bank or card issuer, so we can look into it. If we charged you in error, we will correct it.

11. Payment misuse

You may not use a payment method you are not authorised to use, use Reinly to arrange a fraudulent payment, or ask another user to pay or be paid in a way designed to deceive them. We may suspend or close accounts that do, as set out in the Terms.

12. Changes to these Payments Terms

We may update these Payments Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes; continued use of Reinly after the new effective date constitutes acceptance.
